Assistant Catering Manager to start September/October

Pay Band 5

Salary £26,473 - £28,239 (Pro Rata £22,960.24 - £24,491.90)

Term Time Only

Hours of Work: 6.30am 2.30pm Monday to Thursday (6.30am – 2pm Friday)

37 hours per week

To Start September/October 2026

We are seeking an Assistant Catering Manager to support our kitchen team. You will help prepare fresh, healthy meals, manage daily kitchen operations, and lead the team in the Catering Manager's absence.   An enhanced DBS will be required to be in place prior to the start of employment.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a busy kitchen or school catering environment.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and allergen guidelines.
  • Great leadership and communication skills to work with children and adults.
  • A calm, organized approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
