The Portsmouth Diocesan 2024 pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from Monday 22nd July until Friday 26th July.  It will commence at Gatwick Airport when all the pilgrims will gather together, and fly to Toulouse from which a coach transfer will take us to our hotel, La Solitude in Lourdes.

During our pilgrimage we will follow a full program of events including visits to the Grotto where St Bernadette saw Our Lady, and places that were important to St Bernadette during her lifetime, there will be an opportunity to take part in the ‘Water Gesture’ at the baths, the Torchlit Procession, and the Blessed Sacrament Procession and of course the International Mass in the underground Basilica.  Our program will be led by Bishop Philip Egan, and our Pilgrimage Director Canon PJ Smith.

Our hotel, La Solitude is situated quite close to the Domain which makes for easy access, and enables pilgrims to visit during their free time if they want to.  All rooms in the hotel are ensuite, meals are plentiful and varied, served in the restaurant with a buffet service so that pilgrims are able to choose as they desire.

Prior to our pilgrimage we will hold an afternoon T-Party that will enable pilgrims to get to know one another before we depart.
